Two options get you from Nice Côte d'Azur Airport to your hotel without changing: a taxi from the rank, or a private transfer booked in advance. Here is how they really compare.
Airport taxis: flat fares to the main towns
Nice Airport publishes flat taxi fares for a few destinations. In 2026 they were €32 to Nice centre, €72 to Antibes / Juan-les-Pins, €85 to Cannes and €95 to Monaco, before supplements (source: Nice Côte d'Azur Airport). Outside these towns, the meter runs, and supplements can apply for luggage, extra passengers or bookings.
Taxis are a good choice if you travel light, are going to one of the flat-fare towns, and don't mind queuing at the rank in busy periods.
Private transfer: everything decided before you land
- Fixed price to any address, including villas, Cap Ferrat, Saint-Tropez or Italy
- Your driver waits inside arrivals with your name on a sign
- Free waiting if your flight is late
- Child seats and a 7-seat van available on request
- Booked days or weeks ahead, so no surprises during events
A private transfer is the better choice if you are a family or a group, have a lot of luggage, need child seats, arrive late at night or during a big event, or are going somewhere outside the flat-fare zones.
What about price?
We won't pretend to be the cheapest option to Nice centre. For a family of 5 with luggage, one van often costs less per person than two taxis, and you know the exact amount in advance. See all our fixed prices.
