Monaco has no airport, so almost every visitor flies into Nice Côte d'Azur Airport, about 30 km away. Here are your options.
Express bus
An express coach links the airport and Monaco. It's the cheapest option, but with large suitcases and a fixed timetable it is less practical, and it stops at set points rather than your hotel.
Train
There is no train station at the airport. You first need to get to Nice-Ville or Nice Saint-Augustin station, then take the regional TER train along the coast. Count on a change and some walking with your bags.
Helicopter
The fastest way, around 7 minutes of flight, and a memorable arrival. It's also the most expensive and baggage is limited.
Taxi
The airport taxi rank has a flat fare to Monaco. Simple, but you may queue in high season and during events.
Private transfer
Your driver meets you in arrivals and drives you to your hotel door in about 35 minutes. Fixed price, child seats, van for groups. See our Nice Airport to Monaco transfer.
Our tip
Travelling during the Grand Prix or the Yacht Show? Book everything early, roads and transport are saturated. More on our Grand Prix transfers page.
